Aston Villa are moving quickly to replace Tim Sherwood with Remi Garde reportedly already in talks with the Midlands side about the vacant managerial role. Igor Mladenovic, a contributor to the Guardian has tweeted that Garde had been offered the job at Villa Park.

Garde last managed Lyon in the French Ligue One where he won the French Cup and was highly regarded for his work during a four-year spell. Garde had a 51% win percentage as Lyon manager.
Is Garde The Man?
Remi Garde doesn’t ring many bells with many fans, but he created a big reputation during his time in France. The move adds up if true, given the French connections that seem to be flowing throughout the club right now. It would be a welcome appointment but certainly a risky one compared to David Moyes or Brendan Rodgers. It is early days but it is clear that Villa want to move quickly.
