Micah Richards issues rallying call
Micah Richards has taken to social media this morning to assure the Villa faithful that the Aston Villa side are giving their all for the remainder of the season – with the side sitting bottom of the Premier League table, 11 points off safety.
The centre-back is said to be a Villa fan and also is The Villans captain, but has come under fire in recent weeks for his performances and social media etiquette with a recent spat with Match of the Day pundit Ian Wright.
(1/2)I just want to say to all of you great Villa fans that I can assure you that me, the whole team and everyone at the club will be giving

(2/2)absolutely everything from now until the end of the season. There are 18 games to go and we will give everything for the badge! #UTV

The tweet hasn’t settled too easily with Villa fans on Twitter who are angry with the level of commitment and the lack of respect the travelling fans were shown in the Midlands side 3-1 defeat to Sunderland on Saturday.
Next up for Aston Villa is Wycombe Wanderers with Remi Garde wanting to avoid the potential further embarrassment of a loss to the in-form League Two side.
