Rumours are suggesting that Aston Villa could be set to appoint Randy Lerner’s 18-year old son, Max to The Villans board.

Neil Moxley from the Mirror reports that Lerner is preparing to bring his son into the club as an executive.

His son has been a regular at Villa Park, since a young age alongside his dad. The teenager has no experience of any form which should come as a worry to many Aston Villa fans, despite this, he would have a clear understanding of the club’s fanbase and what they want having grown up watching his dad’s ownership crumble year on year.

The news comes as Villa are set to appoint former-Birmingham City coach, Eric Black as assistant manager until the end of the season.
