The turmoil at Aston Villa could make a soap opera this season and the next storyline is enough for a blockbuster episode.

Sam Wallace at the Telegraph reports how two fractions of Villa players have formed with many questioning the management of Remi Garde.

The Villans have been in a poor position all campaign and now seemingly it is unravelling further with the two groups forming.

Some of the more senior and long-serving players like Brad Guzan, Mark Bunn, Micah Richards, Joleon Lescott, Alan Hutton, Leandro Bacuna, Ciaran Clark, and Gabriel Agbonlahor are all said to be part of one contingent questioning Garde and his coaching team.

Meanwhile, a second contingent including, Aly Cissokho, Idrissa Gueye and Jordan Ayew are reported to be angered with the amount of blame they seem to be taking for Villa’s current situation.

Wallace reports how in training there has been open ‘disregard’ towards the training methods the Frenchman and his coaching team use. The players have also questioned if the training is relevant to upcoming fixtures.

Furthermore, some are angered with Garde’s lack of criticism towards players after games – most notably a few weeks ago in the 6-0 humiliation against Liverpool and the 1-1 draw away at Wycombe Wanderers. It is reported that he is sometimes absent from the dressing room and has rarely dished praise.
