Di Matteo to land huge bonus if he achieves promotion
Aston Villa are yet to appoint Roberto Di Matteo as their next boss but rumours are rife that such a move is very much on the horizon over the coming days.
The Mail Online are reporting that the former West Bromwich Albion manager could be set for a huge windfall if he leads the Villans back to the Premier League with a cool £2-million bonus on offer for the Italian.
Various media reports including the Mail are claiming that Di Matteo could be announced as manager on Thursday 2, June on a two-year deal.
The chase for a new manager has hotted up in recent weeks since Dr Tony Xia announced he would be buying out Randy Lerner at Villa Park.
It was widely reported that chairman Steve Hollis wanted Nigel Pearson as manager whilst David Moyes was also linked with the job, but now seemingly Roberto Di Matteo is set to be appointed as boss.
