Ravel Morrison has been left out of Serie A side Lazio’s squad ahead of an imminent move to Aston Villa according to various reports in Italy.
La Gazetta dello Sport report that the midfielder could’ve been expected to be included in the Naples side’s squad for the first game of the Serie A season but he has been left out ahead of a move.
Morrison has found life tough in Italy since making the move on a free transfer last summer. It is said by La Lazio Siamo Noi that he isn’t a fan of living in Italy or the Italian style of play in the Serie A.
He began his career at Manchester United alongside the likes of Paul Pogba, but left the club in 2012 for West Ham United.

The midfielder showed glimpses of what he was about during his time at the Hammers but his troublesome ways were often a contributing factor to his lack of game time.
The 23 year old is experienced in the Championship having also spent time at Birmingham City, Cardiff City and QPR during his time at West Ham.
Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly told Rio Ferdinand once how players like Pogba looked up to Morrison.
“It tells you something that when they were 15, 16, 17, Paul Pogba and Adnan Januzaj used to look up to him and idolise him. This kid was the gospel. But he didn’t have the mentality to cement himself in a team environment.”
