Premier League duo join the race to sign McCormack
Premier League duo Sunderland and Burnley are the latest clubs to be linked with a move for Aston Villa striker, Ross McCormack.
According to the Sunderland Echo, the striker appears to be on his way out of Villa Park after a public dispute with new boss Steve Bruce.
McCormack missed training earlier in the week and has since been forced to train with the club’s youth team.
Burnley are also interested in the 30-year-old but he is thought to be keen on making a return to London after leaving Fulham in the summer. Although he may be tempted by the offer of Premier League football with Sunderland, or the aforementioned Burnley.
Both Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County are thought to be interested, with Villa looking at Middlesbrough’s Jordan Rhodes as a possible replacement.
Villa will not be short of interest in the striker who has been one of the Championship’s most prolific forwards in recent years.
