Aston Villa tracking Chelsea defender Michael Hector
Aston Villa are keeping track of Chelsea defender Michael Hector ahead of a potential summer move.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Villa have sent scouts to watch Hector as they plot an approach.
Hector is currently on loan to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt and has made 18 league appearances so far this season.
This comes after a loan spell at Reading last season, where he made 21 Championship appearances.
Hector signed for Chelsea in 2015 but is yet to make a first-team appearance for the club, as he was loaned back to the club they signed him from – Reading.
Now 24-years-old, he is unlikely to ever break into the Chelsea first-team and could be looking for a permanent move to further his career.
It is not stated in the report as to whether Villa are looking for a loan move or are plotting a bid to sign him.
West Ham and Everton are also said to be interested.
