Bruce keen on reunion with Egyptian international
According to a report in the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa are interested in signing Hull’s Ahmed Elmohamady.
The Egyptian international just been relegated from the Premier League and, as a result, he will be playing his football in the same league as Villa next season. However, if the reports are to be believed, he will playing with Villa, and not against them.
Steve Bruce knows Elmohamady well as he worked with him at Sunderland and at Hull, and he is clearly a big fan of the 29-year-old who can play at right full-back or right wing as it was him who signed the energetic right-sided player for both of the aforementioned clubs.
Elmohamady was a regular for Hull this season, and he is one of only a handful who emerge from the disappointing campaign with his reputation enhanced.
The Egyptian is well known for his ability to swing in accurate crosses, and this is a quality that could help Kodjia and Hogan bang in the goals that’ll help Villa achieve their aim of promotion to the Premier League.
