Bristol City will listen to offers for Aston Villa target Aden Flint
Bristol City will listen to any offers made for defender Aden Flint as a host of clubs including Aston Villa consider making a bid, according to the Daily Mail.
Flint looks increasingly likely to leave Championship club Bristol City in this summer’s transfer window and fellow Championship clubs Middlesbrough, Fulham and Aston Villa are on full alert.
Bristol City have valued the towering centre back at £4m, which is a price that most of the clubs are willing to match.
The 27-year-old defender is well known for the danger he poses to the opposition from set pieces as he is very strong in aerial challenges.
Flint started 53 times in all competitions for Bristol City and got his name on the scoresheet five times, which for a defender is very impressive.
His record of only four yellow cards and zero red cards throughout the entire campaign last season has also been recognised as it proves how well timed his challenges and interceptions are in the final third.
Often, Flint was matched up against quick strikers who like to play on the shoulder of the defender and run in behind him but his experience and knowledge of the game meant he was rarely in a bad position defensively.
Should Villa pursue Flint, it would definitely strengthen their backline and if John Terry also makes the move, they will be very hard to beat next season.
