Aston Villa are reportedly keen on a move to sign Stoke City striker Jon Walters this summer.
According to a report from the Telegraph ( h/t Mirror) today, Steve Bruce has identified Walters as a target and could make an offer to lure him away from the Potters, with the transfer window having opened last week.
The Villa manager is appearing to be keen on acquiring proven, Premier League players this summer as he gears up for a promotion push next season.

This prompted him to add John Terry to his squad today off the back of the former England international’s release from Chelsea at the end of the season.
Walters has somewhat fallen out of favour at the Bet365 Stadium, with Mark Hughes favouring other attacking options ahead of him.
The Republic of Ireland international has just one year on his contract at Stoke and with him now being 33-years-old, he could seek a new challenge.
