According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa are set to complete the signing of Egyptian international Ahmed Elmohamady from Hull City.

If thing go to plan, he is expected to complete his move to the Birmingham-based club in the coming day or two, having already agreed personal terms with the club.

Steve Bruce is a big fan of the 29-year old, having already signed him when he manager at Sunderland and Hull. Elmohamady will become Bruce’s third signing of the summer following the recruitment of John Terry and Sam Johnstone.

Coincidentally, when the deal officially goes through, Elmohamady could find himself playing against his old club on opening day of the Championship season.
