Villa had a number of players out on international duty over the last two weeks, and their fans will be breathing a big sigh of relief as it seems that they have all returned to Birmingham with no big injury issues.

However, what will perhaps please Villa fans even more is that it has been reported in the Birmingham Mail that they are close to welcoming back influential midfielder Jedinak from a long-term injury.

The 33-year-old has played just 45 minutes for the club this season as he has been struggling with a groin problem, but, according to Steve Bruce, he is now making big strides in his recovery.

He will be assessed ahead of Villa’s huge clash with Wolves on Saturday, but it is unlikely that he will be play any part at the weekend. However, he could be fit enough to get some game time against Fulham on the 21st October.
