Joshua Onomah, on loan at Villa from Tottenham, has spoken about his future and his time at Villa Park after scoring in the 2-1 win over Sunderland.

Steve Bruce has spoken about his aim to sign Onomah on a permanent deal, with the Spurs youngster impressing with every passing week at Villa Park.

However, Onomah has admitted that he has his eyes on his parent club and trying to get into the first-team alongside the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Onomah has scored three goals since travelling from London to Birmingham, away at Bristol City and Burton Albion, before netting his first Villa Park goal on Tuesday which turned out to be the winner against Sunderland.

Speaking to the media, Onomah discussed his future, via The Express:

I want to do well here and help Villa get promoted, then go back to my parent club and get back in the team.

Away from club duties, the 20-year-old won the U-20’s World Cup with England in the summer before scoring a spectacular goal for England U-21’s against Scotland in the 3-1 win at the Riverside.

Onomah is remaining focused on the rest of the season with Villa and is clear about what he would like to achieve.

Promotion is the aim now at Villa. We are just taking every game as it comes and hopefully come May we are where we want to be.
