Bruce says dark days are behind Villa
Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce feels that the dark days are behind the club, with his side currently on a five match winning streak, as they chase promotion back to the Premier League.
Villa were relegated from the Premier League in 2016, and despite struggling in their first season in the Championship, the Villans look much stronger this campaign.
After a strong start to the year it seems everyone at the club is confident that they can get the job done and secure their promotion this time arounds.
Bruce has been around the block and is a well respected figure throughout the game, and he is confident that the club can soon be back where they belong.
He thanked his staff for the help following the club’s recent good run, saying;
I must thank my staff this week because they’ve been great.
They prepared the team for Sheffield United so they deserve all the plaudits.
I watched on as the staff, supporters, the team, all celebrated. The whole lot of them were engrossed in the winning goal.
He also thinks that things are looking up for the club, adding;
And it’s little moments like that, that tell me, thankfully, it is starting to turn our way a little bit.
Hopefully the tide is turning.
We are in it together and hopefully the dark days are behind us and we have something to look forward to.
