Aston Villa are interested in a summer deal to sign former Liverpool shot-stopper Brad Jones.
The Sunday People claim that the club are planning for the summer with Sam Johnstone’s future yet to be resolved.
Villa have sent scouts to watch the Australian, who has impressed for Feyenoord in recent years.

Following a disappointing spell with Bradford, Jones made the move to the Dutch league, winning the Eredivisie last season.
The Australian international has largely been a number two throughout his career but has found a regular starting spot with Feyenoord, playing both domestic and Champions League football.
The proposed move for Jones could suggest that Johnstone, who himself has attracted Premier League interest, is unlikely to sign a permanent deal at Villa Park this summer.
With Villa pushing for promotion to the Premier League, Jones would provide experience to a young squad.
Jones came through the ranks at Middlesbrough and endured loan spells with the likes of Blackpool, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby throughout his career.
