Alan Hutton has been linked with a move to rivals West Brom by the Birmingham Mail.
Hutton, who has been at Villa Park since 2011, has been linked with a move away from Aston Villa multiple times during his career but has been ever-present for Villa since the 2014/15 season.
However, West Brom, who look set to be relegated from the Premier League, have taken an interest in the Scottish international.
Hutton is out of contract at the end of the season, and could be set for a move to the Black Country if Villa don’t offer him a new deal.
Hutton has made over 150 appearances for Villa, being ever present apart from when Paul Lambert was boss, and Hutton was frozen out of the Aston Villa side.
Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough have also taken an interest in Hutton, but West Brom and Ipswich will first need to get a new manager.
