# Tim Sherwood aims for familiar face

Aston Villa are ready to swoop in for Emmanuel Adebayor after a torrid time under the new management at White Hart Lane for the Togo international reports the Metro.

Villa are eyeing Adebayor as a like to like replacement for Christian Benteke if he angles for a move to any of the several clubs keeping tabs on the Belgium.

Tim Sherwood has worked with the former Arsenal striker before, almost revitalising his Tottenham career in the process, but it seems he could not get a start under Pochettino with the form of Harry Kane and a new system in place.

A stumbling block for Villa would be the wage demands, however the deal is still very much in its infancy.
