# Villa Want Defender Augustinsson

Reports in Sweden are suggesting that Aston Villa have made a £2-million bid for FC Copenhagen, left-back, Ludwig Augustinsson.

Augustinsson, 21, played a vital role in the solid backline that led to Sweden winning the Euro U21 Championships in the Czech Republic earlier this week.

Leading Swedish newspaper ‘SportsExpressen’ suggest that Villa are leading the chase for the left-back.

The news comes a day after [TVV reported Villa had a bid rejected for Ajax captain](https://readastonvilla.com/2015/06/30/boilesen-bid-rejected/)and left-back Nicolai Boilesen.

The 21-year old only moved to Danish side, Copenhagen in January, but has kicked on since then and is wanted by a host of clubs around Europe.

Talks are not yet at an advanced stage, but this story seems to have more legs than the other left-back story brought to you the other day.

**New Defenders Key**

Reports over recent days indicates Sherwood’s desire to reshuffle his defence with Micah Richards already signing for Aston Villa. A left-back looks to be his next move.
