# A and A Linked With Villa

Emmanuel Adebayor and Charlie Austin are both  being linked with a move to Aston Villa with the departure of Christian Benteke imminent.

[Darren Lewis](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-open-emmanuel-adebayor-6094531) and [Ralph Ellis](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-plan-transfer-charlie-6093436) have both reported in the Sunday Mirror that Tim Sherwood is eyeing up moves for QPR’s, Charlie Austin, and Spur’s outcast Emmanuel Adebayor. The news comes after Villa announced the signing of Nice left-back Jordan Amavi for a fee believed to be around £9-million.

Charlie Austin is the more desirable option for Villa fans with the 25-year old having a prolific record in front of goal. Scoring 18 goals in 35 appearances in his debut campaign in the Premier League for QPR.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Adebayor is splitting opinion amongst Villa fans. The 31-year old has had a shaky few years, but still earns a staggering £100k a week an amount Villa would not be prepared for his services. The recent chequered past means he is something of a wild child, but Sherwood managed to tame the ex-Arsenal man seemingly getting the best out of him during his interim spell in charge of Tottenham Hotspur.
