# Pre Season : away in Portugal

For the past few days, Aston Villa have been away in Portugal to gain fitness and match practise for the coming season – here are a few highlights from the fortnight away.

Delph not coming on tour due to him having a second child obviously left a gap, but when his signing to Manchester City was confirmed while the lads were away Tim took matters into his own hands and slotted into his place.

Ciaran Clark looked focused ahead of the new season, many tipping him for a breakthrough season with Richards at the back – Captain material?

Gabby Agbonlahor gets another season under his belt for Villa, looking somewhat happier than last season – lets hope for some more goals.

Good to see Gary Gardner getting ready for the new season, hopefully he can be the future of the Villa Midfield.

Hutton and Sherwood getting to know each other in a bit more of an intimate way this Pre-Season.

And finally, Micah Richards cools down during a tough session in the heat – still maintaining his trademark smile!
