Patience – it is a virtue some say, or so the saying goes.

But I have a feeling that is what we’ll need this season, Villa fans. Tim Sherwood is a manager that knows how to get performances out of quality players, football players who can really play and turn it on if they feel like it, but that comes with time, and with 9 new players, somewhat of an unprecedented transfer policy employed this summer by Randy Lerner and with that it takes time for players to adapt.
Players take time to gel, in any team. Good managers have fell to the virtues of signing to many players and it just not working out for the club – Mark Hughes at QPR is a prime example. But in this case, we should be in safe hands, but it’ll take time.
I would argue that we won’t see the real Villa at least until October, with players getting back to match sharpness and settling into the squad, it’ll definitely take time.

I don’t expect miracles by Sherwood and the team this season, my expectation isn’t even top half – i just want to be more comfortable than last season, which as Timmy has said won’t be hard at all after finishing 17th last season.

So Villa fans, let’s have patience and get behind the team.
