# Villa Looked At Former Arsenal Man

Aston Villa have reportedly enquired over the availability of the A.S Roma frontman, Gervinho according to [Guido D’Ubaldo from the Italian newspaper, Corriere Dello Sport.](https://www.corrieredellosport.it/news/calcio/serie-a/roma/2015/08/25-3458223/roma_per_ljajic_c_laston_villa/?cookieAccept)

The former-Arsenal player is the second Roma player to be linked with a move to Villa Park in the past 24 hours with Adem Ljajic reportedly in talks with Tim Sherwood’s side. D’Ubaldo reports though that a move for Gervinho never got past preliminary talks though with Roma’s Sporting Director.

### Clear Search For Creativity

The shock revelation from Corrie Dello Sport suggests that Tim Sherwood is clearly not settled with the ten summer signings he has already made this summer. Villa have found the net twice so far this season in their opening three games. But a view clearly echoed between the Villa faithful and Tim Sherwood is the lack of clear-cut creativity in the Villa side.

Gabriel Agbonlahor has already been heavily criticised this season for his lack of creativity along with new summer signing, Jordan Ayew.
