# Villa Target Belgium Player Of The Year

Aston Villa are preparing to launch a bid for Club Brugge playmaker, Victor Vazquez. [Spanish newspaper, Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fichajes/20150828/201429939547/mercado-fichajes-futbol-liga-bbva-internacional.html) are reporting Villa’s sporting director, Hendrik Almstadt watched the 28-year old Spaniard as his side crashed out to Manchester United in the Champions League qualifying rounds.

Vazquez is a full graduate from the famous La Masia academy, but only made one first team appearance for the Spanish giants back in 2008. The former-Spanish youth international joined Belgian side, Club Brugge in 2011 and has since been in a mainstay in the De Club side.
