# Villa Back In For Adebayor

Aston Villa are back in for Spurs striker, Emmanuel Adebayor with [John Percy from the Daily Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/11835389/Aston-Villa-back-in-for-Emmanuel-Adebayor.html) reporting that the former-Arsenal striker’s proposed move to West Ham breaking down has led to Villa preparing a revival in their interest for the Spurs outcast.

Emmanuel Adebayor has split opinion amongst Villa fans about his commitment and consistency. The 31-year old has had a shaky few years at White Hart Lane only performing when Villa manager, Tim Sherwood was in charge. He still earns a staggering £100k a week an amount Villa would not be prepared to stump up for his services.

Adebayor featured 19 times for the Lilywhites last season – mainly off the subs bench finding the net twice. He has played over 75 times since joining from Manchester City in 2012 scoring 24 times. With 14 of those coming when he was managed by Sherwood.

His recent past means he could become something of an issue, but Sherwood managed to tame the ex-Manchester City man in his time as interim boss at Spurs. An on-form Adebayor is a dangerous one.
