# Baker To Be Loaned

Nathan Baker has joined Bristol City on loan until the end of the season.

The 24 year old defender is heading to the south west in the pursuit of more game time, and with his deal now complete Villa will now be looking to finalize the signature of Joleon Lescott.

Once Villa’s first choice defender, Baker has found it difficult to break into the side in recent months due to injury setbacks, and manager Tim Sherwood is keen to see whether the centre back can play a full season without picking up any more niggles.

The signing of Baker will continue the positive relationship between both clubs this window, with Robins manager taking youth prospect Callum Robinson to Ashton Gate; whilst also having former Villans left back Derrick Williams in his squad.
