# Villa sign Sarkic

Aston Villa have completed their first signing of deadline day with the signing of Montenegrin u21 keeper Matija Sarkic on a three year deal.

The 18-year-old stopper has penned a three-year deal with the claret and blues.

He has come through the youth system at the Belgian club – which has been graced with the talents of Vincent Kompany and Romelu Lukaku.

Sarkic featured for Montenegro in the U17 European Championships of 2013 and has just been called up into the U21 squad for their European Championship qualifier in Moldova. Wether he will feature in the first team at some point this season remains to be seen though.

The youngster may not be the most marquee signing we make today but his international performances, and the fact he’s come from an academy famous for producing some real pedigree in recent years means he may be one to watch for the future.
