# Shocking Compensation Package For Sherwood

Aston Villa have dismissed Tim Sherwood as manager with Sherwood having nearly two and a half years still to run on his contract. The length left on his contract means that the former-Spurs manager will have a healthy compensation package from Villa.

Sherwood was dismissed on Sunday morning alongside Ray Wilkins, first-team coach Mark Robson and performance analyst Seamus Brady. [Gregg Evans from the Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/revealed-aston-villas-compensation-package-10329328) has revealed this evening that Sherwood could in line for a healthy £2-million pay off.

### A High Price To Pay

The compensation that Sherwood will get is shocking and indicates how badly it went wrong for the now former-Villa boss. Villa had big hopes for Sherwood when he signed a three-year deal and led the Villans to the FA Cup final, but it has gone terribly wrong and now Tom Fox and Randy Lerner must search again for a new manager after only eight months with Sherwood at the helm.
