17-year-old Aston Villa youngster Andre Green has signed his first ever professional contract; [the club has announced.](https://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~5143750,00.html)

His contract will last until the summer of 2017 as Villa were keen to tie down the youngster, who has been impressing for the club’s youth sides recently.

He has been at Aston Villa since he was just nine years old and will be delighted to have made his first big step into entering the professional game with his boyhood club.

He can play either as a centre forward or out in the wide positions, giving his managers good options when he is in the side.

Green also made his Villa under-21 debut at just 15-years-old, which was over a year-and-a-half ago in January 2014. His biggest acheivement to date has been his inclusion in the Aston Villa squad for their final game of last season; he was an unused substitute against Burnley (who were relegated last term).
