# Hutton responds to heavy criticism on instagram

WARNING THIS PIECE CONTAINS FOUL AND ABUSIVE LANGUAGE.

Aston Villa’s Alan Hutton had two misfortunes on Saturday with the defender on the losing side as Remi Garde’s side were sank by Watford. He also scored an own goal to rub salt into the wounds just a few days before his birthday.

On 30th November, it was his birthday and the AVFC Instagram account as usual posted wishing the Scottish international happy birthday. The barrage of abuse that followed towards Hutton was vile, malicious and out of order.

In response to abuse that involved many expletives and criticism while tagging Hutton’s page ‘@hutton02’ the Aston Villa defender replied to the abuse with that he ‘gives his all’ for The Villans and that players make mistakes before sarcastically saying ‘wow’ to the ‘hate and negativity’ he was getting.

### Uncalled for vile abuse is out of order – Matt Lynch

The abuse that Alan Hutton has received is sickening. There is far worse examples of the abuse on Aston Villa’s Instagram page, but some is beyond comments I would be willing to put on an article.

It is sickening and vile. No player should be subject to the vile torrent of abuse – especially with personal insults.

As for the own goal. Mistakes are made they cannot be helped. The abuse is abhorrent and unjustified and should never be even considered.
