# Agbonlahor to be shown exit door by Garde

Aston Villa manager, Remi Garde is set to get offload Villa ‘legend’ Gabriel Agbonlahor in January according to [John Percy from The Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/aston-villa/12050624/Aston-villa-to-let-Gabby-Agbonlahor-go-after-striker-fails-to-impress-Remi-Garde.html).

The Villa striker looks to be set for the exit door with Remi Garde open to offers for the Aston Villa academy graduate. Percy reports that Garde has been unimpressed with the performance levels of Agbonlahor in training, who is yet to score this season.

Agbonlahor made his first appearance for Aston Villa back in 2006 bringing a breath of fresh air to the Villa side, but his career at Villa Park has deteriorated dramatically since then with the Villa faithful becoming incredibly frustrated.

### No Shock – Matt Lynch’s View

I will be honest the news that Agbonlahor could well leave in January does not shock me or anyone else. He has struggled for a long time at Villa with his performance levels being shoddy especially from man who supposedly supports Villa.

I have personally called him out on numerous occasions and rightfully so. He is supposedly Aston Villa through and through but I have only seen him put blood sweat and tears in once or twice in the past four/five seasons.

We should take what we can get for him. He is a glut on wages and he isn’t going to do anything to help the side.
