# New chairman in the pipeline for Aston Villa

Aston Villa CEO, Tom Fox has revealed to the Aston Villa Supporters Trust (AVST) that the appointment of a new board member and new chairman at Villa Park is imminent in a meeting with the trust.

The supporters trust has lobbied for talks with Tom Fox for some time and eventually got their chance to speak to Villa’s head honcho before the side’s 2-0 defeat against Arsenal on Sunday.

The trust also revealed that they talked to Fox about Villa’s current transfer strategy. Fox told the trust that all transfer dealings were fully ratified by The Villans manager at the time, Tim Sherwood.

Paddy O’Reilly would come to Sherwood with player suggestions and in no way would Sherwood have to agree with the suggestions. Furthermore, Fox clarified how Hendrik Almstadt had no say in the acquisition of players at Villa Park.
