The[Express and Star](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/2015/12/16/transfer-rumours-december-16-2/) report how Villa would want a fee for Agbonlahor with the forward commanding £50,000 a week – a pricey sum for a man who has picked up more cards than goals in recent years.

Read Aston Villa told you yesterday how the [Daily Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/aston-villa/12050624/Aston-villa-to-let-Gabby-Agbonlahor-go-after-striker-fails-to-impress-Remi-Garde.html) reported that Remi Garde would allow the 29-year old would be allowed to leave Villa Park in January if an offer was put forward.

### Surely just paper talk? – Matt Lynch

A move just four miles up the road isn’t unheard of at Villa Park with Craig Gardner and Liam Ridgewell both joining West Bromwich Albion in the past, but surely it would be unheard of for Agbonlahor to follow suit?

The Villa forward has been a long-term tormentor of The Baggies and it has been reported numerous times he is a Villan through and through.

He hasn’t performed in a Villa shirt for some time which is a great shame. It would be good to see him gather his form somewhere, but not at a local rival.
