# Remi Garde: Ten wins should be enough

Remi Garde believes that Aston Villa need ten wins to stand any chance of Premier League survival.

The Villans boss was speaking to[the press](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35161976) ahead of playing West Ham at home on Boxing Day. Villa so far this season have only racked up seven points – winning only once, leaving them stuck to the bottom of the table for Christmas.

In the past two seasons, 36 points has been enough for survival, but Garde acknowledges that sometimes it isn’t enough.

> “With 36 points you can be safe. Sometimes you go down, sometimes with more points you can go down.”

The Frenchman is yet to win a game as manager and spoke about how the likes of Norwich City and Bournemouth have beaten bigger sides claiming that it is a season when maybe ‘you can win or lose against any team.’

He said how his side need to ‘concentrate’ on their first win before building on it with another and so forth.
