# Sirigu not interested in Villa switch

Salvatore Sirigu is not interested in a January switch to Aston Villa despite the Premier League side showing an interest in the out of favour PSG and Italy goalkeeper.

[RMC Sport](https://rmcsport.bfmtv.com/football/mercato-sirigu-pas-interesse-par-aston-villa-940333.html)in France report how The Villans boss Remi Garde wanted to bring the shot-stopper to Villa Park, but the prospect of playing for the side bottom of the Premier League table is not appealing to him even though he wants a move to stake a claim to play in Euro 2016 for Italy.

Remi Garde clearly feels a goalkeeper is a top priority for Villa with Brad Guzan struggling to find any form so far this season – being at fault on many occasions for losses.

The Villans have also showed an interest in another French Ligue 1 goalkeeper with the Midlands side showing an interest in the out of favour, Marseille player, Steve Mandanda, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
