# Garde respects Hiddink’s comments

Aston Villa manager, Remi Garde has refused to answer any questions with regards to recent links with Chelsea striker Loic Remy.

The [Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-transfer-news-remis-10698391?)report how Garde had taken questions and [admitted](https://readchelsea.com/2015/12/30/premier-league-manager-admits-interest-loic-remy/) his interest in signing Remy in a previous press conference, something that angered current interim Chelsea manager, Guus Hiddink.

Hiddink criticised Garde for his conducted and said that the Aston Villa manager shouldn’t ‘go through a side door’ to try push through a loan deal for the French striker.

Garde has opened up about his actions and admits he was wrong to do so, saying:

> You asked me the question last week actually…and then I answered, but maybe I shouldn’t have because I can understand that the Chelsea manager has been a little bit upset hearing me speaking about one of his players.

The Villa boss went on to add:

> This week I won’t make any more comments about it. No, this is a problem that I can understand from his point of view. I respect what he said. I won’t make any more comments today about Loic Remy.

Remy had been widely expected to leave the club in January in the search of consistent first-team football, with [Newcastle](https://readchelsea.com/2016/01/04/two-premier-league-clubs-make-contact-remy/) and Garde’s struggling Villa both linked with loan moves.

However, the latest [reports](https://metro.co.uk/2015/12/31/chelsea-boss-guus-hiddink-rules-out-loic-remy-exit-after-radamel-falcao-suffers-injury-setback-5593084/) are now suggesting that the striker has been told he will not be leaving during the transfer window.
