# Lescott off to the MLS

Joleon Lescott could be on his way to the MLS this window despite only leaving West Bromwich Albion for Aston Villa in the summer.

Renown Italian journalist, [Gianluca Di Marzio](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/eng/la-galaxy-interested-in-obtaining-nigel-de-jong-from-milan/) reports how Lescott along with the AC Milan and former Manchester City midfielder, Nigel De Jong could both be set to link up with LA Galaxy.

Lescott, a boyhood Villa fan, joined the club under Tim Sherwood on deadline day and the 33-year old has since gone on to make 12 appearances this campaign whilst also scoring once.

He has struggled for form at times though meaning his appearances have been relatively limited.

A move for Lescott could free up some vital space in Villa’s spiralling wage bill as they try to ascertain what sort of moves they can make in the window to give the club every chance of survival in the Premier League.

No fee is mentioned but it could well be a free transfer when you look at Galaxy’s recent dealings.
