# Villa flop set for loan move

Aston Villa winger Charles N’Zogbia is nearing an exit from the club as Greek giants AEK Athens look set to sign the Frenchman on a loan deal until the end of the season. The [Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/aston-villa/12088016/Aston-Villa-transfer-news-Charles-NZogbia-poised-to-join-AEK-Athens.html) report.

Signed for £9.5 million in 2011, N’Zogbia’s performances during his tenure at Villa Park have been underwhelming to say the least and it is looking unlikely that the 29-year-old’s form is going to change anytime soon.

N’Zogbia has played just 43 minutes of Premier League football under Remi Garde this season, making just two appearances for rock bottom Aston Villa.

Fellow Frenchman Remi Garde has failed to really use N’Zogbia, mainly due to the experienced winger’s poor form and is set to end his Villa nightmare in the coming days.

Athens, now managed by former Brighton and Sunderland boss Gus Poyet, are set to tie down N’Zogbia until the end of the season as he looks to rekindle his form from his younger days and revitalise his career out in Greece.
