4 Things we have learnt : Wycombe v Aston Villa

Rudy Gestede needs to put a shift in, or we’ll hold the exit door open for him.

Throughout the whole game Gestede never got on the end of anything put into the box, it seemed like he would rather be a battering ram for Villa and a lazy one at that.

Woeful performance from former Championship striker.

Richards at Right Back may have been rusty, but his quality shines.

Richards played in his natural position of Right Back today, his quality was plain to see today against Wycombe, scoring a goal and making useful darting runs, but it seems that he is very rusty.

May need more game time to adapt back to that position.

When you’re luck is down, it’s really down.

Ashley Westwood would feel like he was harshly treated by the ref after giving a penalty away to Wycombe, and by god was it not a penalty.

As you can see.

It just goes to show how when your luck and confidence is off, it can really come and bite you.

Richardson has found his level.

When Richardson decides to leave us ultimately for a lower league side – at least today’s game shows he can boss it at League 2 level.

The left back did very little wrong today.

Interested in Football, Politics and obviously Aston Villa.
