# Villa eye up Venezuelan international

Aston Villa are eyeing up a move for the NEC winger, Christian Santos. The winger has scored 11 goals in 17 appearances so far this campaign.

[Liderendeportes](https://www.liderendeportes.com/noticias/futbol/aston-villa-pregunto-por-christian-santos.aspx) in Holland report how The Villans are targeting the wide man, whose current contract runs out in the summer. It is believed that the Eredivisie side are willing to let Santos leave in January, so they do not lose out on a fee in the summer.

The 27-year old made his Venezuela debut last year and has since gone on to make three appearances while scoring once on the international stage.

Santos began his career in Germany at Arminia Bielefeld in 2009, before moving on to KAS Eupen in Belgium. He moved to Holland in 2014 after a spell with Waasland-Beveren.

In 51 appearances for NEC Santos has found the net on 34 occasions. It is reported how Championship side, Hull City as well as NEC’s league rivals, AZ Alkmaar are also tracking the Venezuelan.
