# Norwich winger emerges as a target for Aston Villa

Aston Villa will join West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland and Leicester City in targeting Norwich City winger Robbie Brady.

The [Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/relegated-player-roberto-di-matteos-11493343?) report that the Villans manager Roberto Di Matteo is interested in getting further Championship experience into his side as they look to bounce straight back to the Premier League and Robbie Brady is on the shortlist.

Di Matteo is believed to want a creative outlet as one of his main priorities this summer.

He will face stern competition this summer for Brady though with Norwich themselves being relegated to the Championship and Premier League sides such as West Bromwich Albion registering an interest.

The versatile wide man only joined Norwich City last summer from Hull City but has been linked with a move away from Carrow Road as he impressed despite the Canaries relegation.

It has been previously reported how Sunderland and Leicester City were both keen to look into Brady’s services.

Brady made 36 appearances in the Premier League last season and scored three times often from left-back.

The 24-year-old is currently impressing for Ireland at Euro 2016 in a wide position under former Villa boss Martin O’Neill.
