# Aston Villa join in hunt for Reading midfielder

Aston Villa have joined Celtic alongside Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City in the hunt for Reading midfielder Aaron Tshibola.

Gregg Evans at the [Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/highly-rated-midfielder-interests-both-11500505?) reports that Villa have expressed an interest alongside fellow Midlands side West Brom in the hunt for the 21-year old.

Tshibola has only made 40 senior appearances since making his senior debut whilst out on loan from the Berkshire side to Hartlepool in the 2014/15 season.

It is said that the Royals are not willing to let go of the midfielder but they still could be tempted to sell with a £2-million offer supposedly already been knocked back.

The links between Reading and Steve Clarke could be a benefit to Villa if they have a genuine interest in Tshibola with Roberto Di Matteo’s assistant giving him his first team debut last season.

His current deal at the Madejski Stadium does not run out until 2019.
