# Juventus keeper emerges as Villa target

Aston Villa have got an interest in signing the Juventus goalkeeper Nicola Leali according to reports in Italy.

[Gianluca Di Marzio](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/eng/juventus-leali-has-received-interest-from-aston-villa-deportivo-and-leganes/) reports that the 23-year old is a target for the Championship side alongside Spanish sides Deportivo La Coruna and Leganes.

The young keeper is yet to make a senior appearance at the Serie A champions but has plenty of experience out on loan, most recently at Frosinone last season where he made 33 appearances.

He has also had spells out on loan at Cesena and Spezia. His current deal does not expire in Italy until 2019. Leali has also featured at every level of Italian international football bar the seniors.

Roberto Di Matteo is reportedly in the market for a goalkeeper this summer to replace American international Brad Guzan. He has already been linked with West Brom’s Boaz Myhill this summer.

The Italian boss currently has three first team keepers in his ranks with Mark Bunn, Brad Guzan and Jed Steer all gunning for the number one jersey at B6.
