# Championship ticket prices are a disgrace

Aston Villa’s opening game of the season is away at Sheffield Wednesday with away ticket prices being announced this morning much to the disgruntlement of some travelling fans.

The price of an away ticket for the Villans travelling faithful is £42. This price has been described ‘absurd’ amongst other profanities on social media this morning especially when the Premier League have introduced a £30 cap on away tickets for the upcoming season.

The Midlands side have been given 2,043 as an initial allocation with the club requesting more tickets for their away following that has gained a reputation for being one of the best in England.

Matt Lynch from the Villa View has decided to air his views on what he describes as ‘disgraceful’ pricing that could end up costing fans over £100 for the game on the opening weekend of the Championship.

Watch below his video on why something needs to be done about the price of tickets in the Championship.
