# Bundesliga side table Jordan Ayew bid

Bundesliga side Hamburg have launched a move for the Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew according to reports in the Ghanian’s homeland.

[Pulse](https://pulse.com.gh/sports/jordan-ayew-hamburg-bid-8-million-for-aston-villa-striker-id5282282.html) say that the German outfit have launched an £8 million move for the forward who was a shining light amongst a dark Premier League campaign last season.

Ayew only joined the Villans last summer from Lorient but managed to find the net on seven occassions in the English top flight and he could prove to be a valuable asset in the Championship.

Earlier in the week [Read Aston Villa](https://readastonvilla.com/2016/07/17/ayew-staying-according-villa-owner/) reported how owner Dr Tony Xia had said that Jordan Ayew would be remaining at the club this summer after reports suggested French side Bordeaux could be making a move for him.

If Villa were to accept an £8 million bid for Ayew it would be the same figure that he joined the Midlands outfit for. You can only hope this rumour isn’t true if you support Aston Villa.

> Twitter: I read carefully&thanks for many ways.BTW Ayew will stay as I. I trust RDM too and he is confident to a good squad [https://t.co/UxV8PVfWZv](https://t.co/UxV8PVfWZv) (@Dr\_TonyXia)
