# Villa join Leeds and Wolves in declaring interest in striker

Aston Villa have joined both Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers in showing an interest in signing Nantes striker Yacine Bammou, according to a report from [L’Equipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Transfert-toulouse-pense-a-yacine-bammou-nantes/709464).

The 24-year-old is apparently looking for a move from the French side after he only started 17 games last season.

According to the report, the three Championships sides have declared an interest in signing him but Toulouse are apparently the favourites to get him, possibly as a replacement for Wissam Ben Yedder, who is a transfer target for West Ham.

The striker is looking for a move away from Nantes and would consider a move to England but his preference looks to be to stay in France with Toulouse.

Villa have admitted that they are in the market for a new striker as they look to get themselves promoted at the first time of asking, whether they can get Bammou in as that player remains to be seen.
