# Aston Villa revive interest in two strikers

Aston Villa have revived their interest in Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford alongside Fulham forward Ross McCormack according to reports.

The BBC’s Pat Murphy confirmed this morning that the Villans were looking at making a move on both men with other targets failing to materialise into anything more.

McCormack has been strongly linked with a move to Norwich City in recent weeks with the Mail Online reporting he is close to a £12 million move to Carrow Road.

The 29 year old was a vital figurehead in the Cottagers side last season as he found the net on 21 occasions. He has been prolific for many of a year though. The Scot scored 17 and 28 in the respective two seasons before last.

Meanwhile, it was reported towards the start of the window that Roberto Di Matteo had an interest in Patrick Bamford.

The Chelsea forward has failed to muscle his way into first team opportunities at Stamford Bridge and could well be available. He hit 17 goals in his last season in the Championship, but struggled last season at Norwich City and Crystal Palace.
