5 Reasons why Villa will beat Rotherham on Saturday

After Villa lost to Luton on Wednesday, it seemed as if the club were in meltdown. A is what we need to recapture that pre-season optimism.

On Saturday, Rotherham United will visit us for the first game at Villa Park this season. For many, this is a game which hits home the fact we are in the Championship. Just four years ago, the Millers were in League Two battling it out with the likes of Wycombe Wanderers and Accrington Stanley. Rotherham were promoted the first time of asking in League One and now find themselves languishing in the lower reaches of the Championship.

In terms of danger men, Danny Ward knows where the back of the net is. Scoring against Wolves after only nine minutes last time out. Winger Jon Taylor is another who could pose problems, especially if our defence is as calamitous as it was against Luton. Taylor’s pace is something for whoever is playing at left-back to be weary of.

The games will kick-off at 3pm BST and can be listened to on BBC WM 95.6 Sport.
