# Four Things We Learned: Rotherham United

Aston Villa ended a horrific run of form against Rotherham United as they stuck three past the Millers in a dominant performance at Villa Park.

Going into the game the Villans had not won a game in 15 attempts but from minute one Roberto Di Matteo’s side looked dominant and ready to prove a point with an effort on goal within the first thirty seconds.

The confidence was slowly creeping back into the squad after midweek humiliation against Luton Town with Rotherham struggling to deal with Villa’s width and pace on the transition.

Rudy Gestede opened the scoring midway through the first half with a deft header from an Aly Cissokho cross.

The home side doubled their lead in first half added time when Gestede added his and Villa’s second of the game. His gymnastic celebration matched what was a fantastic goal.

Jack Grealish rounded off a first class performance when he scoring with a fine solo goal in the second half before jumping into the Holte End in celebration.

Here is four things we learned from the game.
