# Aston Villa register interest in Federico Viviani

Aston Villa are showing an interest in the former A.S Roma midfielder Federico Viviani according to reports in Italy.

[Gazza Mercato](https://www.gazzamercato.it/udinese/udinese-sprint-per-viviani-col-verona/) report that the Championship side have got an interest in the Hellas Verona man, who graduated from Roma’s academy in 2012.

Viviani is believed to have a €6 million price tag with Serie A side Udinese also gunning for his signature after Verona’s relegation from the top flight of Italian football.

The 24 year old appeared on nineteen occasions last season alongside Villans goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini. He also had three goals to his name.

Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo is looking to add to his midfield after letting Idrissa Gana Gueye, Carlos Sanchez, and potentially Jordan Veretout leave the club this summer.

It has left him light on options ahead of a long Championship campaign with Viviani being the latest man linked with the Midlands side.

What do you make of this rumour? Better option than Ravel Morrison?
